Leslie Forgach is an Associate at NMV Consulting (NMVC). Prior to joining NMVC, Ms. Forgach worked at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI) in Asian Studies in the Foreign and Defense Policy department (2008-2011). At AEI, she wrote numerous publications on U.S. foreign and defense policy towards the Asia-Pacific, U.S. alliance issues, and Japanese defense policy. Ms. Forgach has extensive experience in Asia, including participation in diplomatic delegations to the region. She also worked at the Center for Global Partnership at the Japan Foundation’s Tokyo headquarters in 2007 and 2008) and the Henry L. Stimson Center in 2008.
Ms. Forgach received a Bachelor of Arts degrees in History and Asian Studies from the University of Michigan. After receiving the Ito scholarship, she studied for two years at Waseda University Graduate School of Asia Pacific Studies in Tokyo, Japan (2006-2008). There she received a Master’s degree in International Relations, with a focus on U.S.-Japan relations. She is fluent in Japanese.
